Overview
Do you love animals and wish to help animals in need? Are you looking for a safe, affordable and life-changing animal conservation volunteering abroad project? Costa Rica is the land of rainforests that houses the most diverse and unique wildlife on the planet. Sadly, the wildlife in Costa Rica is under the threat of extinction today. The forests are being constantly exploited for new settlements and agricultural activates leaving many animals displaced. The animals are also suffer due to illegal pet trade and are hunted extensively for their fur and meat. These animals need to be protected urgently to prevent the disruption of the ecosystem.
In this volunteering project, you will be working in a wildlife sanctuary where you will be involved with hands-on work with the animals under the guidance of animal experts. You will prepare meals for the animals, feed them, clean the enclosures, and take care of the injured and sick animals so they can be released back in the wild. You will also help care for the animals that are unable to go back into the wild. You will also take part in rescue missions, plant trees to improve the natural habitats and educate the local community about the importance of conserving these animals. You work in this wildlife program will ensure that ensure the animals in peril are rescued and cared for so they can recover from trauma they faced. You will help the animals return back into the wild and ensure a better quality of life for them by restoring their habitats. The education you provide to the community will also help in combating illegal activities that harm wildlife and ensure their safety for the future generations.
