Overview

Do you love kids and want to help orphans in need? Would you like to travel to the exciting destination of Ecuador and make a difference? Ecuador is a beautiful country of volcanoes, adventure, cloud forests and exotic wildlife. Despite its vast natural resources, Ecuador today is plagued by economic inequality with more than half of its population living below poverty line. As a result, many children in Ecuador lack access to basic facilities, education and suffer from neglect and abuse. Many children have been abandoned as families struggle to support their children, and these children often end up in orphanages.

In the orphanage volunteer program, you will help look after kids, provide basic care, educate the children on hygiene and prepare food for them. You will also be a mentor to the children, teach them subjects such as English and computer skills, help them with homework, and interact with the youngsters in fun extracurricular activities. You will also equip the children with various life skills, plan and organize day-trips and help with administrative duties at the orphanage. Your support will have an enormous impact on their future. By helping change the lives of the orphans, you will also make a difference to your own life and gain memories to last a life time. There are no specific requirements for this program, although basic Spanish skills will be helpful.
