Overview
Do you love kids and have a passion for helping those in need? Would you like to travel to the exciting South American destination of Ecuador and make a real meaningful difference? The children from over-worked and overburdened parents in Ecuador often forced to leave their homes and live in the streets. With a lack of education, risk of permanent and total exclusion from local communities, a large number of them become victimized, and turn to solvent abuse and drugs. Global Crossroad’s street children volunteer opportunities in Ecuador teams up with the local organizations and provides the support they need.
In this program, you will be spending time with the needy children and encouraging them in fun activities that will inspire them to a bright future and to avoid the pitfalls of life on the streets. You can also help teach English and other subjects, engage the kids in art, music and other creative endeavors, help them with homework, and help prepare and serve their meals. When you join this project, you will help save the life of the kids who are living a vulnerable life at streets. You will share your love, passion and skills and help them grow as a humble citizen. Not only this, you will gain a fulfilling experience by being the change of impoverished children. There are no specific requirements for this program, although basic Spanish skills will be helpful.
