Would you like to travel to Guatemala and volunteer to improve the lives of the orphans?
The majority of people residing in rural areas of Guatemala are leading a poor life. The rampant poverty, illiteracy, diseases and other causes thousands of children are left as orphans in Guatemala. There are about 500,000 orphans in Guatemala, and the orphanages struggle to provide adequate care to these impoverished children. These orphanages are constantly running low on both resources and manpower and desperately need volunteers like you to bridge the gap!
As a volunteer, you will be given a wonderful opportunity to give help, love, and attention to orphans who are in urgent need of care and protection. You will also teach them English and engage in extra-curricular activities. Your selfless dedication and support will make a great difference in their lives plus motivate and encourage them to lead happy and thriving lives in the future.
Important Information
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Intermediate level Spanish is required. If you cannot speak more than basic Spanish, we suggest you enroll in our Spanish language course to make your stay more rewarding – both for you and for the children you are helping in the project.
According to the Criminal Records Review Act, all volunteers who are enrolled in programs that include a practicum component involving working with children or vulnerable adults will have to undergo a criminal record check before they will be permitted to register for volunteering.
