Orphanage in India- Over 20,000 Happy Volunteers since 2003

Do you have a passion to work in impoverished communities to make a positive impact in the world? Would you like to travel to India exploring the beautiful country, while experiencing their culture and devouring into the delicious cuisine? India is a country rich in history, cultural diversity and spirituality. Unfortunately, poverty and economic inequality plagues a large part of its population. India also suffers corruption, pollution, inadequate education and lack of basic facilities, and children are affected the most. There are about 20 million orphans in India at present who are at great risk of being victims of cheap labor, begging and abuse. Many orphanages in India lack in both resources and manpower, and are not able to function adequately.

In this program, you will be a caregiver, mentor, and friend to the children and provide them with love and care they crave. You will teach English, other subjects and basic hygiene to the children. You will assist the local staffs with meal preparation, getting the children ready for school and help with homework. You will also organize fun activities and games for the children. You are also welcome to share your knowledge and skills with the children like sports, arts, music etc. Your time with IFRE Volunteers high school program volunteer abroad summer project in India will greatly improve the lives of the children through much needed emotional support. The knowledge and skills you share with them will be beneficial in their later lives. You will make meaningful bonds with the children and provide much needed support to the understaffed and underfunded orphanages.
