Overview
Would you like to visit and explore beautiful India while also teaching underprivileged children? Do you have a passion to work and support children living in impoverished communities in India? Since India is a popular travel destination, English has become a vital skill. In India, English is also a language that ties people from different ethnic backgrounds together and is an important requirement for most jobs in the country. Sadly, India struggles with grinding poverty and overpopulation, and children from low-income families and communities do not have proper access to schools where they can learn good English, leaving them far behind in the job market and dampening their future.
When you join this teaching program, you'll be teaching English to disadvantaged children in public schools. You will help the students learn the basic concepts of English, teach them grammar and encourage them to converse in English. You will work with the local teachers, create curriculum with them as well as support the school in their administrative tasks. You will also assist in organizing fun extracurricular activities like games, sports, competitions etc. Your time in this program will have an enormous impact on the lives of disadvantaged children and open up a whole new world of opportunities to them. You work will inspire your students towards a brighter future, which in turn with enrich your own life. By imparting English skills, you can truly change lives of these children and provide a way out of their unfortunate circumstances while gaining a hands-on teaching experience yourself.
