Overview
Would you like to volunteer with disadvantaged kids in India? Would you like to experience teaching in a classroom while traveling in a fascinating country?
Due to extreme poverty and several other social causes, thousands of poor Indian children are being deprived of English education. The community schools in India are over-flooded and lack fluent English language tutors. As English is one of the two national languages in India, the good knowledge of English plays a crucial part in the future career growth of poor Indian children. RCDP’s volunteer teaching English project in India offers English education to the deprived Indian children so that they can improve English skills and develop a bright and successful career.
By being a volunteer English teacher, you will help disadvantaged Indian children progress their English skills by sharing your native language. You will teach in community schools containing 25 to 35 students, including both boys and girls from 5 to 14 years old. You will be asked to teach according to your skills and qualifications.
Apart from teaching English, you will also get involved in organizing various interesting educational activities. Your valuable support and native-level language skills will help poor Indian children develop English skills and get lucrative jobs in the future. Previous English teaching experience is desired but not mandatory to join this teaching English volunteer project in India. You'll need to have sound communication skills in English. You are also expected to be open-minded, self-motivated and should have a strong passion to learn and take new initiatives.
