Overview
Do you have a strong passion and desire for assisting children in reaching their potential? Do you want to travel to a tropical island on a life-changing adventure while making a real difference in the lives of disadvantaged children?
Many low-income families cannot afford private language lessons for their children, and access to quality education in Bali public schools is severely lacking. As an English volunteer teacher in Bali, you will teach English to local Balinese students ranging from 1st to 6th grade (6 to 12 years of age). Depending on the school and your confidence, you will teach independently or together with a local teacher. You will be teaching six 45-minute classes per day, totaling roughly 4,5 hours of teaching.
You will give the children an opportunity to have bright futures in the lucrative tourism industry that pours millions of dollars into Bali each year. Not only will you help these disadvantaged children, but you will also gain valuable teaching experience, make lifelong memories, and feel great knowing you are making a big difference in the world.
