Overview

Are you a patient, loving, compassionate individual who loves traveling and working with children? Would you like to do that affordably, while contributing to positive change in the country? In Mexico, many children suffer because of poverty, and the children affected the most are those with physical and mental difficulties like autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, learning difficulties etc. There are little facilities to cater to and support the development of such children. Those from low-income background suffer the most due to this. As a result, there poor children in need remain a burden to their families and are not able to prosper in life.

In this volunteer opportunity, you will be working in a school that specialize in special education especially for underprivileged children. You will be helping these children with their education and host of other activities depending on your skills and area of expertise. Your will manage classrooms and conduct workshops for the children as well as provide encouragement. You can also assist with speech therapy, physical therapy, counseling, preparation of the children for integration into regular school. By joining this program, you will play an important role in improving the lives of many children with difficulties and ensure a bright future for them. By giving much needed individual attention and care to the children, you will motivate them to find though their difficulties. You will lend a helping hand to the overworked local staffs as well as develop meaningful relationships with the children you work with.
