Overview
Would you like to teach English to the disadvantaged kids in Nepal? Would you like to experience teaching in a classroom?
Due to poverty and lack of awareness regarding the importance of the English language, Nepal continues to lag behind other parts of the world. This is especially true of Nepal's impoverished rural population. The children here study in schools that can't provide quality teaching. These schools are often underfunded and lack experienced teachers to improve students' English skills. As a result, students might lose out on employment opportunities in the future. RCDP's Volunteer teaching in Nepal program helps these children to improve their English language skills and more.
When you join this project in Nepal, you will be placed either in a private or a public school. You will teach conversational English and support recreational and artistic activities. Similarly, you will help the local teacher and work on curriculum development. If required, you will assist the school administration with daily tasks too. Your experiences and efforts will encourage the students to speak English and find more opportunities in this competitive world.
Important Information
Both native and fluent non-native English speakers are welcome to join RCDP’s teaching English in Nepal program. You do not need any special qualifications or experience, but of course you should have an interest in teaching and enjoy spending time with children.
