Overview
Are you looking for an amazing travel experience in South Africa? Do you want to make a difference and teach English to disadvantaged children?
South Africa is a multicultural nation with rich varieties of flora and fauna. However, the children residing in poorer areas of Cape Town are deprived of quality English education. The public schools are often overcrowded, underfunded and lack fluent English teachers. Due to extreme poverty and unemployment, children from poor families cannot study in private schools. Having English skills has become very important in South Africa and it is crucial to compete in the job market. To change this situation, IFRE teams of up with the schools in Cape Town and invites volunteers like you to help brighten the future of these underprivileged children.
As a volunteer, you will be teaching English skills to the children. You will manage the classrooms, prepare lessons, inspire the children and come up with new and exciting ways to learn. Depending on your knowledge, you can also help the students with other subjects like math, science, health and personal hygiene, etc. Children of all ages will thrive having you there as a volunteer to support their educational journey. You will rest-assured every night knowing that your day was spent carving a better future for children in need.
