Overview

Are you a medical student or a health care professional looking for a volunteer trip to Tanzania? Do you want to have a life-changing experience shadowing medical professionals?

Despite being a gorgeous country filled with spectacular sceneries, exotic wildlife and amazing cultures, Tanzania struggles to provide proper healthcare facilities to its citizens. The majority of Tanzanian people are living a miserable life, without proper healthcare facilities. They succumb to treatable diseases as the proper healthcare is expensive and out of their reach. Also, limited hospitals and clinics are overcrowded and understaffed. You can join and make a difference while also experiencing fascinating Tanzanian cultures and traditions.

As a medical volunteer, you will shadow doctors and nurses in a local clinic or hospital. Your roles and responsibilities highly depend on your skills and qualification. Generally, you will help collect information and measurements from the patients such as blood pressure, temperature, and height/weight and be available to assist the doctors and other medical staff when required.

Joining this medical volunteer program will be an eye-opening and life-changing experience for you. You will gain invaluable international medical experience in a real setting while giving back to the communities in need.
