Overview
Do you want to provide relief to the orphans and underprivileged children while experiencing a beautiful and warm Tanzanian culture?
Due to poverty, the effects of epidemic diseases, unemployment and several other tragic circumstances, thousands of children are left as orphans in Tanzania. The government and local NGOs strive to provide adequate facilities and care to these children, but these efforts are not enough. IFRE Volunteers’ orphanage volunteer program in Tanzania partners with local organizations to offer the love, care, and attention to these disadvantaged children.
As a volunteer, you will help support orphans and disadvantaged children. You will generally spend 4-6 hours a day teaching English directly in the orphanage or at the local school. You will also organize extracurricular activities, such as games, singing and music activities. Your presence will give these children a new ray of hope and help them lead a happy life. By giving the kids the love, attention and care they deserve, you will help bring them to hope for a better future, inspiring and enabling them to lead happy and fruitful lives as adults.
Important Information
You do not need any specific training or experience to join orphanage volunteering program in Tanzania and IFRE encourages anyone to apply regardless of formal qualifications.

Best experience of my life
It was the best experience of my life, first it was an amazing human experience with a lot of social interactions and also the tanzanian landscapes are just breathtaking. Mama Alice my host is like my tanzanian mother now she is the best she is so kind and i felt like home. I already miss my Tanzanian family. At the end of my 3 weeks i wanted to add 1 or 2 weeks more because it was too short ! I ll remember this trip forever thank you Global Cross Road for making this happens. Advice to future travellers is to live with locals and to be open to people and culture. To take a good camera also and some snacks from his/her country.
