Overview
Despite all of the beauty of Thailand, this country still faces poverty as its major problem. It is especially true for people residing in regions like Surin and Ayutthaya. The residents of these areas either work on a farm all day long or move to cities in search of work. Therefore, in most cases, parents face serious problems in taking care of their children, as they cannot afford often expensive child-care services. By joining this project, you can help poor Thai people take care of their children.
You will participate in several activities after joining this program in Thailand. From providing child-care to developing children’s skills, you will be helping people from very poor communities to improve their lives. You will spend much of your time teaching English, organizing creative and interactive games, playing music, dancing and, above all, taking care of kids.
No specific skills or qualifications are required to join this volunteer project. However, you should have a passion to work with children, be flexible and patient. Also, volunteers must always respect the locals and Thai customs.
