Overview
Are you looking for a once in a lifetime experience traveling to Uganda while making a positive impact on the life of disadvantaged children and orphans?
Sadly, Uganda is hit hard by poverty, HIV AIDS epidemic and unemployment, making thousands of children orphans and underprivileged. Nowhere to go, these orphans are taking shelters in orphanages and care centers. However, the orphanages and care centers are understaffed and underfunded therefore cannot provide proper care to these impoverished children, so there is an intense need for volunteers to help these children.
As a volunteer, you will take care of these children with love. Your role is to teach them basic English, math, science, and other subjects of interest. You will participate in meal preparation, help children with their homework, and take part in playtime activities. You will also give them tips and precautions for personal hygiene. At times, you will organize extracurricular activities to help them socialize. You are encouraged to generate new ideas to keep the children engaged.
Your priceless support will give the children hope for the future and impart valuable life skills that will greatly help them in the future, enabling them to forge a positive adult life for themselves and help improve conditions in the country as a whole.
