AUTHENTIC BHUTAN TOUR
This is a 5 days/4 nights tour where you will explore the beautiful Paro Valley on the first day of your arrival to Bhutan. On your second and third day, you will be exploring Thimphu City - Capital city of Bhutan. This is one of the most preferred tour package to explore Bhutan and especially the western parts of Bhutan. On the fourth day, it is hiking to the Tiger's nest, the most popular among the tourists and once in a lifetime opportunity. Then, we wind up with a hot hot stone bath to unwind the pain and tensions and to purify your mind and soul.

  • Day 1 - Explore Paro Valley

    Arrive at Paro International Airport
    Welcome by BGTT team
    Drive to the hotel and check in
    Visit and Explore Kyichu Monastery
    Visit and Explore Paro Dzong (Fortress)
    Overnight stay in Paro

  • Day 2 - Explore Thimphu City - Capital of Bhutan

    Drive to Thimphu, Capital city of Bhutan. Approximately 1 hour 20 minutes drive
    On the way, take a short walk to Iron chain Link Bridge built by Drupthob Thangtong Gyalpo in 14th century. He is popularly referred as “Iron Chain bridge builder”
    Check in to the hotel - Relax - Lunch
    Dress in Bhutanese Kira for women and Gho for Men
    Visit the Memorial Stupa: Built in 1974 in memory of the Third King of Bhutan.
    Visit the Thimphu Tashi cho Dzong(Fortress) and it’s time for the Photographs.
    Overnight at Thimphu city District

  • Day 3 - Explore cultural and religious sites in Thimphu City

    Visit the Mini Takin preserve area which is about 10 minutes drive from the city to see the National animal of Bhutan, TAKIN.
    Visit the institute of 13 traditional arts and crafts (If possible)
    Visit to Big Buddha Statue (made of bronze and gilded in gold, the statue measures in at a height of 51.5 meters/169 feet, making it one of the largest Buddha statues in the world
    Visit the Centenary Farmers Market (If your stay falls on weekend)
    Visit the National Archery stadium

  • Day 4 - Tiger's Nest - Taktshang

    Hike to Tiger’s nest monastery (Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and religious site “Taktshang” translates to “Tiger’s Nest”. The monastery is one of the most holy and sacred religious sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face at about 10000 feet above paro valley. It was built in 1692 at a cave where learned Indian Buddhist Saint popularly known as Guru Rinpoche meditated in the 7th century A.D. No trip to Bhutan would be complete without a visit to this remarkable heritage site. The hike would be approximately around 5-6 hours (return ).
    Lunch at Taktshang Cafeteria (tentatively between 12:00-01:00)
    Finish the hike by 3:30 and start driving back to hotel
    Dinner and overnight at the hotel, Paro
