Overview
Experience a unique mobile safari into the Moremi Game Reserve in the famed Okavango Delta. The only reserve in the Okavango, the wildlife-rich Moremi is an exciting safari destination.
Moremi is home to elephant, lion, leopard, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, red lechwe, impala giraffe, hyena, cheetah and the endangered African wild dog.
- Day 1 - Maun
On your arrival you will be met by your guide or one of our representatives to welcome you to our beautiful Botswana. Our team will be ready to assist you in anything that you may need assistance with. After a quick welcome we will then transfer you to Island Safari Lodge.
Located on the banks of the Thamalakane River, Island Safari Lodge is a cool and welcoming oasis in the heart of Maun. Shaded under a huge canopy of large trees, the lodge overlooks the river and floodplain beyond.
Island Safari Lodge is set on a 300 acre private island reserve, just 10 km from Maun Airport. The protected reserve has several walking trails running through the bush, perfect for a nature walk.
Relax by one of the two swimming pools or head to the restaurant and bar for the river view.

- Day 2 - Moremi Game Reserve
We will meet and depart for the bush by 6:00am.
You will head north towards Moremi Game Reserve for approximately 45km. From this point on you will be surrounded by the rich and diverse fauna and flora this area is famous for.
Moremi Game Reserve is in northern Botswana, part of the Okavango Delta, which becomes a lush animal habitat during seasonal floods. Spend the day exploring this verdant area, enjoying the pristine landscape and abundant wildlife. These experiences will stay with you forever and you’ll be fortunate to have photographic opportunities of a lifetime.
Stopping at a suitable and scenic area, you will enjoy a light but wholesome lunch. You’ll then continue to explore the area for the rest of the day, arriving in your campsite in time for the evening. Camp will be set up, so you can kick back and relax.

- Day 3 - Moremi Game Reserve
After enjoying a light continental breakfast you'll depart to explore the reserve by open game viewer on a morning game drive.
The unique ecosystem and characteristic of the Okavango Delta allows for a diverse spectrum of wildlife and, coupled with effective protective measures, results in huge herds of impala and tsessebe. In the dry season, large herds of buffalo, wildebeest, elephant and zebra come into the reserve from the dry Kalahari Desert in search of both food and water.
At midday you’ll return to camp for lunch and afternoon siesta. In the afternoon embark on another game drive to explore this unique and legendary game reserve.
When you return to camp in the early evening, settle around a crackling campfire and share tales of the day’s events. Enjoy dinner and drinks under the African night sky.

- Day 4 - Moremi Game Reserve
After enjoying a light continental breakfast we depart on a morning game drive to explore Moremi by open game viewer.
The Moremi Game Reserve is home to over 400 of the Okavango’s species of birds, including the African fish eagle, crested crane and sacred ibis. The vast array of mammal, bird, insect, plant, fish and reptile species have adapted to the Okavango Delta’s swamp conditions.
Return to camp midday for lunch and an afternoon siesta. In the afternoon, head out again on a game drive to track game across the reserve.
In the evening, return to camp for pre-dinner drinks around the camp followed by a delicious dinner prepared by our camp chef.

- Day 5 - Moremi - Maun, Island Safari Lodge
This morning after enjoying a light breakfast, we start our return journey to Maun. You'll arrive in Maun in time for lunch, which you are welcome to enjoy at the Island Safari Lodge restaurant.
Take a cool dip in the swimming pool overlooking the river, relaxing in the comfort of your air-conditioned room or lounge at the restaurant area.
