Chapada Diamantina Experience

Today our receptive team will pick you up at Salvador Airport (SSA) and take you to your accommodation. Explore the city the way you want!

Leaving your accommodation and to Salvador Bus Station, you will go to Lençóis, your base during your stay at Chapada Diamantina. You can also choose private car transport instead of the bus, there is even a weekly flight to Lençóis, check with your Travel Specialist the best option for you. The trip from Salvador until Lençóis takes 6h. (You can add a private transfer under request)

After checking in at your accommodation you will have the afternoon free and in the early evening, you will visit Lençóis on a tour that highlights the historical, cultural, and architectural importance of this city that is a National Heritage Site.

After breakfast, we will start to get to know the region. That day the tour will be all on foot! Leaving Lençóis we will pass through canyons and valleys until we reach Cachoeira do Sossego, there we will have a snack, and soon after we will go to Ribeirão do Meio, also known as Chapada’s Waterslide.

The activities of the second day require an average-high physical effort, we will walk, cross rivers (with life jackets), walk bordering the water on stones.

Note: When you arrive at your accommodation, pack your backpack, tomorrow we will spend the night in Mucugê.

After breakfast, check out and say goodbye to your accommodation. Board our transport heading south from Chapada Diamantina National Park. First, we will visit the Poço Encantado (Enchanted Well), we will walk through the cave to the well, the walk is easy. Be impressed by the crystalline waters of this magical place! Entry to the attraction is not permitted for children under 12.

We will return to the means of transport and continue to the Paraguaçu River, one of the largest rivers in Bahia. Next to the river is the headquarters of Poço Azul (Blue Well), before visiting and entering the well you will undergo decontamination to remove creams, moisturizers, and sunscreen from the skin. So you can swim in this incredible place without making an impact! Enjoy. At certain times of the year, the sun invades the hall and a true spectacle of nature takes place.

After the activities, we will go to Mucugê, where we will spend that night.

Leaving Mucugê after breakfast, we will go to Ibicoara. There we will make a trail following the Espalhado River, we will pass by the Cachoeira das Orquídeas and then descend to the canyon of Cachoeira do Buracão, one of the most beautiful places of the trip. Then we will continue swimming, floating until we reach the waterfall. Certainly, one of the most beautiful natural attractions of the Park. Enjoy!

After the activities, we will return to Lençóis for the night.

After breakfast included, we will start the day's activities embarking towards Lapa Doce Grotto, where we will meet beautiful limestone formations while exploring the grotto.

Leaving Lapa Doce, we will travel to Pratinha Farm to visit another cave. On the farm, relax on the crystalline river while floating. It is also possible to do zip lines! There you will also visit the Gruta Azul and Gruta da Pratinha, two beautiful grottos. Lunch will also be held on the farm.

In the evening, we will continue to Morro do Pai Inácio. After reaching the summit you will be able to contemplate the landscape, and if the weather conditions allow, the most beautiful sunset in Chapada Diamantina, and one of the best in Brazil, for sure.

That day has required a moderate level of effort to visit the caves and climb the hill.

On our last day of activities in Chapada Diamantina, we will say goodbye to the region, knowing incredible waterfalls that are great for swimming.

After breakfast, your transportation will take you first to the Mosquito Waterfall. Leaving the waterfall, we will enjoy a typical lunch with regional food. Then, we will visit the Mucugezinho River and on foot, we will reach the Poço do Diabo, where we can enjoy the waterfall until it's time to return to Lençóis

OPTIONAL: You can extend the duration of your trip and visit Fumaça Waterfall, The Highest Waterfall in Brazil. Not included on the package due to the difficulty of the hike. Consult your Travel Specialist if you wish to include this activity.

After breakfast check out the accommodation. Your ground transportation to Salvador is already included in the package, you can upgrade to private or flight.
