Overview
The 4-day tour in Burundi starts and ends in Bujumbura. It is a mix of historical
holiday to discover the culture, history and sightseeing of Burundi, a country of
relaxation after a wildlife safari in the neighboring countries.
- Day 1 - Arrival
After your arrival in Bujumbura you will be transfered to Safari Gate Hotel. Retreat
at the beach of Lake Tanganyika.
Overnight at Safari Gate Hotel - Day 2 - Rusizi National Park, Snakes Park and Gishora Drum Sanctuary
Today we will visit the Rusizi National Park: you will see many birds of the park.
You will visit the Snakes Park, La Pierre Livingstone & Stanley and the
Independence hero mausoleum. Later transfer to Gitega and visit of the Gishora
drum sanctuary.
Overnight at Tropitel Hotel - Day 3 - Gitega National Museum and Karera Waterfalls, Source of the Nile
After breakfast, we will visit the Gitega national museum a collection of artifacts
and antiquities from Burundi’s past, visit of Mushasha –Catholic schools and the
Cathedral. The trip continues to Rutana to see the amazing Karera waterfalls and
later on the way back to Bujumbura, the source of Nile in Rutovu.
Overnight at Safari Gate Hotel - Day 4 - Departure
After visiting this small but very unique country you will be transferred back to the
airport just in time for your international flight.
