Overview
Tallinn's Old Town is not only one of the best-preserved Hanseatic cities by the Baltic Sea, but over the centuries, Tallinn's cobbled streets have also seen many mysterious things that you would not want to see in daylight.
Have there really been so many murderers on the streets of Tallinn that pharmacists had to be part-time detectives? Where do the ghostly monks of Tallinn nest? Where has the old pagan held its wedding? And why does the figure of a suspicious man on the roof of the Russian embassy pass the opposite house?
Tallinn has many old and fascinating ghost stories and legends. Some stories have reached us from the twilight of time, some stories are contemporary folklore, some stories may have a fragment of truth.
