Overview
This one day tour offers real value for money. It is not a constant drive for the whole day, but has breaks every 30 to 45 minutes to stop at a place of interest.
This tour start at 9am with a visit to ‘’ Kachikally ‘’ crocodile pool. Learn the history of these creatures and also the story of the ‘fertility’ from the waters from the pond. Shake hands with friendly Charlie and other crocodiles. We then proceed to the Serekunda market, where we will see lots of different business activities by the local Gambians with their colourful dresses before boarding our jeep to the ‘Abuko’ cattle market. This is the time to learn about cattle farming in The Gambia. From the cattle market we drive through nearly 20 hamlets and villages in the west and south of The Gambia and we will stop by the school and you will hear about the types of education in The Gambia. The next stop is at the biggest wood carving factory at ‘Brikama’ where you can buy a range of souvenirs and presents Then to Paradise Beach for lunch. After lunch we will give you up to 1½ hours for swimming and sun bathing. The last two destinations are a local village to see how local people live and to ‘Tanji’ fishing village where you will meet people in the fishing industry. Then drive back to your respective hotels.
