We will then stop at the Giraffe Center, where you'll find Rothschild Giraffes wandering the grounds. Our last memorable experience will include a tour of the Kazuri beads women factory where women from the community are committed to making beads as a way to live sustainably. From here we'll drive back to the hotel for dinner and the night at the Ibis Style Hotel.

  • Day 2 - Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve

This morning you'll Nairobi and head off to the Masai Mara. The approximate travel time is six hours. Head directly into the park for game viewing and then return to the camp for late check-in Please note that the first half of this drive will be on paved roads and the last half will be rough & bumpy roads but generally, the drive is still worth it. You’ll enjoy a box lunch while you on the way.
Enjoy the afternoon while appreciating an exciting game viewing experience. This afternoon, we’ll explore several wildlife hot spots with an aim to espy elusive animals such as the leopard. These spotted cats blend almost seamlessly into the tall grass and shrubbery and are even more challenging to spot when in their favorite hangout, the trees. Exploring the region, your guide will take you to nearby watering holes where on a hot day you’ll spot not only mammals but also mammals. After a thrilling afternoon game drive, you will be returned to Sarova Mara Camp in time to freshen up for a delicious dinner.

  • Day 3 - Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve

This morning, we will get out extra early just like the wildlife. We will drive out for the day’s first game drive and discover the dazzling biodiversity of the Masai Mara ecosystem. Masai Mara is the most recognized wildlife sanctuary and the well known worldwide. It’s home to the African Big 5, namely the African elephant, Cape buffalo, Rhinoceros, Leopard, and the lion. Numerous other species of bird and wildlife also inhabit the Masai Mara, including hyenas, gazelles, impalas, giraffes, zebras, and a plethora of birds ranging from vultures to the tiny finches to the giant and the unmistakable Masai Ostrich. We will enjoy our picnic lunch in one of the so many picturesque spots while comparing notes regarding our wildlife checklist.
On our afternoon game drive, the choice is up to you! Continue pursuing the Big 5 or expand your horizons to discover some of the region's least-known wildlife. The Masai Mara not only has a rich mix of mammals both large and small but is also host to an incredible array of birdlife that includes over 400 different species without forgetting some amazing sun-ups and sundowns. We’ll drive back to the Sarova Mara Camp for dinner and the night.

  • Day 5 - Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve

Once again, we’ll set out in the early morning on a "migration" themed wildlife viewing. Today, we journey into the heart of the Masai Mara plains in search of the many grazing species that take part in the annual migration. This natural phenomenon has been occurring for centuries and it only offers the best spectacle once a year. Massive herds of zebras, gazelles, impalas, and of course, wildebeest aggressively feed and thunderously march from the Serengeti and through the Mara area every year from July to October. Today, set out to spot these enormous herds for yourself, an incredible experience that only a few will ever have the privilege of witnessing firsthand.
Also, the Mara is one of only a few places left in Africa where guests can still spot free-roaming Black Rhinos in the wild. The troubling news is that it’s estimated that there are only 4,000 black rhinos left on the continent. After experiencing a day full of activities, we will drive back to Sarova Mara Camp for dinner and the night.
