Kota Kinabalu - Flight to Mulu

You will be picked up at your downtown hotel in the morning and transferred to the airport for your flight to Mulu National Park, one of the greatest in Asia! Upon arrival you will be met by your professional guide and transferred to the national park for the night. Mulu is home to the world’s oldest rainforests and has extensive subterranean cave networks, many of which are yet to be explored. In the afternoon, you will explore the Deer and Lang Caves with your guide by walking along the boardwalks. Millions of bats inhabit these caves and fly out at dusk in an amazing exodus performance resembling a cloud of black dust (weather permitting). Choose to participate in an optional night walk this evening. Ask your guide for details. Overnight in a longhouse room.

Mulu Clearwater & Wind Caves (B)
Have an early breakfast today and then meet at 8:30am this morning at the park headquarters to join a tour to the fascinating Clearwater and Wind Caves containing several million-years old incredible limestone structures and home to Asia’s longest subterranean river. Visit both caves and then go for a refreshing swim in the river before going back to headquarters. In the afternoon you can take a look at the visitor center or take one of the self-guided trails on your own to explore. There is also the longest canopy walk in the world and night walks that you can arrange through Mulu reception. Overnight in Mulu.

After an early breakfast, join a tour to the fascinating Clearwater and Wind Caves, home to Asia’s longest subterranean river, then go for a refreshing swim in the river. After, head to the visitor center or take one of the self-guided trails on your own to explore. Mulu Free Morning - Flight to Kuching (B)
Today after breakfast enjoy the morning at leisure to take another self-guided trail in the National Park before heading back to headquarters and being transferred to the airport for your flight to the pleasant colonial town of Kuching, the capital of Sarawak. Kuching is arguably one of the most enjoyable cities in Borneo.

On arrival, you will be transferred to your new accommodation for check-in, and enjoy a free afternoon to explore the city on your own and take a short walk from your hotel to the riverfront. Overnight in Kuching.After a morning at leisure, transfer to the airport for your flight to the pleasant colonial town of Kuching, the capital of Sarawak. After check-in, you will have a free afternoon to explore the city on your own.

Bako National Park Day Trip (B)
Have an early breakfast at your hotel and then meet your guide this morning for a transfer to the Bako Jetty and a boat to the Bako National Park, the oldest in Sarawak. The park boasts abundant wildlife, diverse flora and beautiful beaches with huge rocky headlands and sea stacks formed by millions of years of erosion. Spend the day on a walking excursion with your guide to explore this pristine national park. If weather permits, you will walk over the headland to the Telok Pandan Beach for a short swim. Depending on the tides, you will take a boat back to the Bako Jetty in the afternoon and transfer to Kuching for your last night. Enjoy a free night to go out for dinner on your own and taste local cuisine like the famous Sarawak Laksa dish. Overnight in Kuching.

NOTE:
Before saying goodbye to your guide please inform him of your departure time tomorrow.After an early breakfast, transfer to the Bako Jetty and take a boat to the Bako National Park for a guided walking excursion. If weather permits, you will head to Telok Pandan Beach for a short swim. Enjoy a free night to go out for dinner on your own.

Kuching Airport Drop-off (B)
Today you will have breakfast at your hotel and then check out of your hotel at 11:00am. You will be transferred to the airport as per the timing of your flight. You may leave your luggage in storage at the hotel if you wish to further explore the town before departing.
