Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, our dedicated team will warmly greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for a brief rest. Later, rejoin your guide for an immersive city tour. The itinerary includes a visit to Zaisan Hill, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar city. Explore the cultural richness at Gandan Monastery and delve into local history at the museum. This initial exploration sets the stage for an enriching experience in the vibrant capital of Mongolia.
- Day 2 - Drive to Terelj national park
Gather with your team at the hotel as you set out for Terelj National Park, a journey marked by natural wonders. Your first stop at Turtle Rock, a striking granitic formation standing at 24 meters, offers a perfect opportunity for photographs. Continuing the exploration, visit the Aryabal Meditation Center, nestled amidst the hills of Terelj National Park, providing a serene vantage point overlooking the park's beauty. Following this, indulge in a delightful lunch and experience the traditional charm of Ger (Yurt) camps for your stay. As the evening unfolds, optional activities such as horse riding or camel riding add an extra layer of adventure to your Terelj National Park sojourn.
- Day 3 - Visit Genghis Khan's statue complex
Following a delightful breakfast at your Ger, the day unfolds with a journey to Tsonjin Boldog, home to the imposing Chinggis Khan's Statue. This isn't merely a statue but a towering complex, reaching a height of 40 meters. Explore the interior, housing a small museum delving into Mongolia's 13th-century history. Immerse yourself in Mongolian tradition by trying on traditional clothing, marveling at a colossal boot, and ascending to the top of a horse head. Later in the day, return to Ulaanbaatar and en route, visit the vibrant Naran Tuul open market, among other attractions. Your day concludes with a transfer back to your hotel, enriched by a day of cultural exploration and historical insights.
- Day 4 - Elsen Tasarkhai & Kharakhorum town
Commence your day by meeting your guide and driver in the morning, embarking on a journey west of Ulaanbaatar. En route, marvel at the Elsen Tasarkhai semi-gobi desert, situated 240 kilometers west of the capital. Take advantage of the opportunity to hike on the sand dunes and indulge in camel riding amidst this picturesque landscape. Following a satisfying lunch in the vicinity, continue westward to Kharkhorum city, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire.
Founded in 1220 by Chinghis Khan, Kharkhorum holds historical significance as not only the capital of the expansive Mongolian Empire but also as a pivotal hub along the Silk Road—a cultural melting pot uniting the East and West. Explore the rich heritage at Kharkhorum Museum and the Erdene Zuu Monastery, constructed on the ruins of Kharkhorum city. Conclude your day with a comfortable stay at a hotel in the Kharakhorum village, surrounded by the echoes of Mongolia's storied past.
- Day 5 - Khustain nuruu national park and Ulaanbaatar
Embark on your journey back to Ulaanbaatar in the morning, making a noteworthy stop at Khustain Nuruu National Park along the way. Established in 1992, the park serves as a sanctuary for the reintroduction of the Takhi, or Przewalski's Horse, which had previously become extinct in the wild in Mongolia. Venture off-road within the national park, seeking glimpses of these wild horses in their natural habitat.
Pause for a satisfying lunch at the park's entrance before resuming your drive back to Ulaanbaatar. As you approach the city, revel in the memories of your exploration. Upon arrival, you will be seamlessly transferred to your hotel, concluding your journey with a fusion of natural wonders and conservation efforts in Khustain Nuruu National Park.
