Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most wonderful trekking destinations in the world. This is the best trekking trail in Nepal. The Everest base camp trek can be completed within two weeks including arrival and departure days. The Everest base camp trek itinerary is given below;

  • Day 1 - Fly to Lukla from Kathmandu/Ramechhap and trek to Phakding

    You will have an almost 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. If the flight is from Ramechhap, it takes only 20 minutes to reach Lukla from there, but you need to drive for approximately 4 hours to Ramechhap from Kathmandu.
    After reaching Lukla, a trekker can witness the first glimpse of Mt. Everest, though s/he seen already from the plane. Then the actual trek begins and ends at Phakding.

  • Day 2 - Phakding to Namche Bazaar

    It takes almost 6 hours to reach Namche Bazaar from Phakding. The trail goes through the Sagarmatha National Park in the beginning. During trekking, a trekker can explore this park and witness the flora and fauna of the Khumbu region.
    Finally, you will reach the Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 3 - Rest Day at Namche Bazaar

    This is an acclimatization day. You can spend a day by exploring the bazaar or engage in a hiking activity. Namche is a beautiful bazaar and the major city of the Khumbu region with full of the facility. The mountain views can be seen from this bazaar.

  • Day 4 - Namche to Tengboche

    Today, the trails take you to the Tengboche village. It is a beautiful village, popular mainly for the Tengboche Monastery. This monastery is the largest Tibetan monastery in the Khumbu region. It is a unique and amazing monastery.

  • Day 5 - Tengboche to Dingboche

    Tengboche to Dingboche trek takes 5 to 6 hours to complete. The trail goes through the forest of pine and reaches Dingboche.

  • Day 6 - Rest day at Dingboche

    Dingboche is a wonderful village and offers mountain views as well. Most of the Island peak climber departs from this place to their destination. You can spend a day by resting or exploring the village or hiking nearby the viewpoint.

  • Day 7 - Dingboche to Lobuche Trek

    Dingboche to Lobuche trek is also mesmerizing trekking day. The route offers wonderful views of the mountains of the Khumbu region.

  • Day 8 - Lobuche to Gorak Shep trek and hike to Everest Base Camp

    This is a tiring day as the trail is going to Gorak Shep, the last village of Everest base camp, and to the final destination as well i.e. base camp of Mt. Everest. A trekker can reach EBC only after walking the longer hours. After reaching Gorakshep, you will have lunch, take a rest, and hike to Everest base camp.
    Reaching Everest base camp and looking for the close-up views of the mountains are gorgeous experiences. More importantly, EBC does not offer Mt. Everest views due to its physical structure, it is obstructed by other mountains. However, you will see it very closely from Kalapatthar the next day.

  • Day 9 - Hike to Kalapatthar and trek back to Pheriche

    In the early morning, a trekker should go for a hike to Kalapatthar Peak and explore the mesmerizing sunrise view over Mt. Everest and other mountains.
    Then, the trail descends back down to Gorak Shep. You will have breakfast and trek back to Pheriche through the previous ways.

  • Day 10 - Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

    The trail follows the previous ways and reaches Namche Bazaar.
