Overview
Mardi Himal Trek is a moderate to adventurous trek. The trail is easy and you will gradually gain the altitude hence, there is very less chance of getting altitude sickness. Because of the few numbers of trekkers in this route, we find simple teahouses or home-stay offering very essential facilities only. The adventurous trek begins after we reach at the lake city Pokhara. The trail follows small zigzag paths through small villages, terraced fields, green hills and captivating rhododendron-magnolia-oak-pine forests. As you gain the height, the landscapes change into a rugged high mountain landscape. From the High Camp, you need to climb up for about 3-4 hours that takes you to the Mardi Himal Base Camp marvelously located at the lap of Mardi Himal and the most iconic Mt. Machhapuchchhre from where you will experience an eye-catching view of the entire Annapurna ranges including Mt. Annapurna South and Mt. Dhaulagiri to the west and Mt. Manaslu in the east with towering south face of Mt. Machhapuchchhre along with Mardi Himal itself and the Hiunchuli.
