ETIV is an NGO & Non-profit organization based in Bahia, Brazil. We link International Volunteers with local communities to support youth development and environmental conservation. Our mission is to support development and environmental conservation in Brazil, with a focus on youth development.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT are the two fundamental objectives that we hope to achieve through our work. One of the main ways to achieve this is by connecting volunteers and interns to our projects aimed at local communities. Working closely with communities and local partners, we strive to inspire and empower a new generation of local youth leaders, who take responsibility for each other, their communities and the environment.

Our Volunteer House is strategically located just a few steps from the beautiful Rio Contas, in the Passagem neighborhood. A place where you find resilience and camaraderie to spare. Internationally famous for its natural beauty, perfect waves for surfing and rich culture, Itacaré offers a unique opportunity to discover Brazilian traditions while providing personal growth, career development and the possibility of making a positive impact.

We use an inclusive and participatory approach when planning, developing and executing our projects, so that volunteers and interns have enough space to expand and consolidate their knowledge and skills, through practical experiences and activities.
