Global Volunteers

Global Volunteers is a private, non-profit (501C-3) tax-exempt organization working at the invitation and under the direction of local leaders to deliver the 12 Essential Services to partner communities worldwide. Working on six continents in over 100 host communities, we have engaged volunteers in life-affirming service opportunities. Since 1984, we’ve worked in over 200 communities in 34 countries on six continents. We raise funds and allocate resources for community projects in addition to proving continuous volunteer service. We’re privileged to work with devoted hosts and community partners in all parts of the world. We always strive to exceed expectations for meaningful service and measurable outcomes.

Our sustained community service partnerships ensure you’ll be engaged in full-day work projects. Working in Consultative Status with the United Nations, we adhere to comprehensive development standards on projects to help children reach their full potential in all host countries. We’re led by experts in human and economic development with profound service credentials. Our country managers are highly educated nationals. Our management team embodies 100+ years of international living as well as academic and career experience in international development.
