IPSL at Westminster University

IPSL offers socially-engaged programs so that participants will make a difference with their time abroad. Opportunities through IPSL include study abroad, internships, fieldwork, preceptorships, volunteering, intensive language, gap year, graduate study, and research. IPSL provides opportunities for you to connect deeply with people and social change organizations all over the world including Argentina, Colombia, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Japan, Peru, South Africa, Spain, and Vietnam.

IPSL is a founding organization in the global service-learning movement, so everything they do is about principled engagement with communities at the grassroots level. They partner with scholars and scholar-practitioners around the world to support community-based work on behalf of vulnerable and marginalized individuals. The work focuses on many important areas, including conservation and the environment, health and health equity issues, food security, urban farming, empowerment of vulnerable populations, education, youth development, ... the list is long!

IPSL programs are customized for each individual participant. Together they create programs that give their participants an authentic experience. Over the years, they have developed long-standing partnerships with both their site directors and the local organizations that they work with. In general, they offer a very personal experience!
