Overview
Embark on a transformative experience by studying and volunteering in Chinchiná, a vibrant city nestled in the picturesque coffee-growing highlands of Colombia. Depending on your interests, extend your stay to explore the enchanting cities of Medellín, renowned as the "City of Eternal Spring," and Cartagena, a historic colonial gem on the turquoise Caribbean coast. Colombia, with its diverse history, cultures, peoples, and environments, provides a rich backdrop for exploration.
Immerse yourself in the local community while enhancing your Spanish language skills. Engage in valuable volunteer work, including teaching or assisting at a bilingual school, supporting First Responders, contributing to a day-care facility for sex workers' children, participating in a residential facility for young women/girls, helping at a shelter/free clinic for homeless elderly, contributing to a dog & cat refuge with vet services, and participating in construction/beautification projects in a coffee workers' neighborhood, among other opportunities.
