Overview
Visit Switzerlands most beautiful mountains with a guarantee of snow! During this 4 days tour, we will visit the famous Mount Titlis with Europe's highest suspension bridge, and the emblematic Jungfraujoch Mountain - reachable via Europe's highest railway station and also known as the Top of Europe. Apart from this, we will cross by Lucerne and Interlaken, two of Switzerland's most beautiful cities. And last but not least, enjoy some time in Zurich, for shopping, sightseeing and relaxation and visit Switzerland`s stunning waterfalls: the Rhine Falls!
- Day 1 - Visit Zurich City and the surroundings
Discover why Zürich is frequently awarded "city with best quality of life" and learn about Switzerland's business and cultural centre while listening to your multilingual guide pointing out the highlights of this unique town. Heading out to the beautiful surrounding area, you cross Lake Zürich by ferry and ride a cable car to Felsenegg with stunning views of the town, the lake and the snow-capped Alps.
This beautiful excursion combines the interesting city of Zürich with its beautiful nature in the surroundings. Enjoy the drive in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach passing by the castle-like National Museum, the shopping avenue Bahnhofstrasse, Zürich's famous financial district and the renowned Opera House. Photo stop at the picturesque Lake Zürich before cruising the university quarter to see the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and Zürich's art museum.
Reach the charming Old Town for your next picture stop. Introduction stroll through the pleasant pedestrian area with view of the patriarchal guild houses, St. Peter church with Europe's largest clock-face, the "Grossmünster" church and the "Fraumünster" church with the stained glass windows by Marc Chagall. Heading out of the city, the journey continues along the “Gold Coast” to Meilen where you board the ferry and cross the pristine waters of Lake of Zürich to Horgen. Move on to Adliswil for the ultimate highlight of your city tour: The ride by the only aerial cable car* in the Canton of Zürich to the viewpoint Felsenegg.
This popular recreational area for the locals living in and around Zürich offers incredible views overlooking Zürich, the lake and the snow-capped Alps. Enjoy the fresh air of the beautiful forest before heading back to Zürich.
- Day 2 - Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe with eternal snow
Don´t miss the highlight of any Swiss holiday and join us for this thrilling and unforgettable full-day excursion to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe! Listed by UNESCO as “World Heritage Site of the Swiss Alps” it is home to Europe’s highest train station (3500 m) and many other attractions!
A scenic coach journey through splendid countryside takes you to the Bernese Oberland. After a break in Interlaken, a picturesque village nestled idyllically between Lakes Brienz and Thun, board the cogwheel train in Grindelwald for a spectacular ride via Kleine Scheidegg up to Jungfraujoch.
Stunning views of the world-famous triple peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau accompany you on the way and the imposing Eiger North Face seems to be within one’s grasp. Once on the top, immerse yourself in the fascinating high alpine wonderland of eternal ice, snow and rock. Experience the adventure tour “Alpine Sensation” marking the 100-year anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway and visit the Sphinx Observation Terrace and Plateau with the most breath-taking panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, the neighbouring countries and Europe’s longest glacier, the Aletsch Glacier.
Don't forget to stroll through the tunnels of the Ice Palace located in the heart of the glacier – a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed! Restaurants are available for meals and refreshments. The descent passes car-free holiday destination Wengen and takes you to Lauterbrunnen, where the coach awaits you for the return trip.
- Day 3 - Lucerne and Mount Pilatus
Mount Pilatus – the Golden Round Trip has it all! Enjoy the scenic coach journey through splendid countryside and a visit of the charming city of Lucerne. Ascent by different aerial cable cars to beautiful Mt. Pilatus with possibilities of easy hikes and gorgeous photo opportunities. Descent by the world's steepest cogwheel railway followed by a relaxing boat ride on Lake Lucerne*.
Set off for an exciting day travelling over the Albis Pass and along the shores of Lake of the Four Cantons to the enchanting city of Lucerne. Take in the views during a short photo stop en route and enjoy a brief orientation drive, where your guide points out the main attractions of this charming town like the Chapel Bridge, the Town Hall, the Jesuit Church and the Culture and Congress Centre.
Enjoy the following leisure time to stroll through Lucerne's beautiful Old Town. Continuation to Kriens, where you take the panoramic gondolas to Fräkmüntegg. Then hop aboard the aerial cableway "Dragon Ride" and enjoy the jaw dropping views out of the panoramic windows, especially designed to give the feeling of flying. Once at the top of Mt Pilatus (2132 m), venture down the Dragon's Path or go for short hike to the summit. Afterwards relax on the panorama terrace admiring magnificent views over the surrounding mountains of the Swiss Alps and the blue lakes in the valleys below. Different restaurants invite for lunch.
The highlight of this day is probably the thrilling descent on the world's steepest cogwheel railway** (48% gradient) down to Alpnachstad. Here you board the boat for a lovely 1-hour cruise on the beautiful Lake of the Four Cantons and enjoy the spectacular landscape from an entirely different angle. Coach ride back from Lucerne to Zürich.
*Until Middle of May 2021, the cogwheel train and boat don't operate. Travel up and down the Mountain by areal cable car. As a courtesy, we offer you a voucher for lunch on top of the mountain during the month of april and the first half of May.
- Day 4 - Stunning Waterfalls
This enchanting morning tour takes you on a scenic route to Northern Switzerland and shows you the stunning Rhine Falls! See the medieval Castle Laufen, settled directly above the falls and feel the roar and vibration of Europe's biggest waterfalls from the panoramic trails and viewing platforms.
Sit back and relax on a comfortable coach while listening to your multilingual guide explaining about Switzerland's interesting history and culture. Drive through picturesque landscape with gently rolling vineyards and charming farming villages to reach the splendid medieval Castle Laufen!
Enjoy approx. one hour leisure time at the mighty Rhine Falls, one of Switzerland's major attractions. Delight in unique views of Europe's biggest waterfalls from the panoramic lift and see how an average of 700'000 liters of water per second plunge across a width of 150 meters into the basin below.
A beautiful, short stroll on the Belvedere panoramic trail takes you to the viewing platform right above the falls where you feel the spindrift of the rumbling waters. Take an optional boat ride (summer only) close to the falls. Visit the Historama at the patriarchal castle to learn more about the interesting history of this unique place.
The return journey passes by the picturesque town of Schaffhausen with its well-known Munot Fortress from the 16th century. The way then continues for a short stretch through Germany. Before you arrive back in the city centre of Zürich, pass by the Airport where departing guests can end their tour.
