The 14 Days Uganda safari -Northern circuit is a complete 2 weeks wildlife and cultural expedition. This trip touches iconic tourist sites including Kidepo Valley
National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Budongo Forest, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and Sipi Falls, etc. A variety of experiences should be expected on this
remarkable tour in the Pearl of Africa, especially cultural experiences –meet the IK, Karamojong people, game drives, community visits, abseiling, boat cruise and more.

This trip touches iconic tourist sites including Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Budongo Forest, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and Sipi Falls, etc. A variety of experiences should be expected on this remarkable tour in the Pearl of Africa, especially cultural experiences –meet the IK, Karamojong people, game drives, community visits, abseiling, boat cruise and more.
- Day 1 - Drive to Sipi Falls –Eastern circuit
Pick up at a hotel in Kampala and transfer to the Sipi Falls taking the Eastern route, driving through Mukono-Jinja-Iganga-Mbale. En-route to Sipi Falls, you will be making a stopover at Ssezibwa Falls, a scenic waterfall in Mukono, and it is valuable cultural site to Buganda Kingdom. From Ssezibwa, we drive via Mabira Forest, Jinja –enjoy the beautiful view of the Nile River as you cross the new bridge. Overnight stay at Sipi Falls/Rafiki Safari Lodge Sipi
- Day 2 - Abseiling, Hiking –Sipi Falls
After breakfast, start the 7 to 8 km long hike through the Sipi Falls trail and explore the 3 magnificent waterfalls. The Sipi Falls exist in varying heights of 75, 85 and 100m. After the stunning views and photography, you will have an addition of abseiling adventure. - Day 3 - Community Tour & coffee tour around Mt Elgon
You will meet the local guide for a long day coffee tour at the Sipi Falls/Mt. Elgon area. Today, you will have absolutely an incredible experience about coffee growing in Bugisu area. The guide will take you through different stages on how coffee is grown, coffee harvesting, drying stage, sorting, frying, pounding into powder, and preparing it for tea till it is served. On a coffee tour, don’t miss to have a taste ofBugisu coffee while on homestay.
- Day 4 - Cultural & traditional dance, community walk
Have half day enjoying the Kadodi cultural and traditional dances from locals. After, you will settle for lunch, have a taste of local dishes. Later in the evening, you will embark on a guided community walk and have hand-on experience, especially during hand craft making with locals.
- Day 5 - Drive to Moroto
After breakfast, you will be picked up and driven to Kidepo Valley National Park located in Northeastern Uganda. As you drive, don’t miss the breathtaking view of Karamoja plains with lunch enjoyed en-route. Accommodation at Mt. Moroto Hotel/Kara-Tunga Safari Camp
- Day 6 - Hike Mount Moroto & drive to Kidepo Valley Park
Start the hike to the top of Moroto Mountain. This situated in Northeastern Uganda
and rises at an altitude of 3083m. It is Karamoja’s highest extinct volcano, with three
peaks –Sokodek, Imagit and Sogolomon. Today, you will have half day hike through

Leave the lodge for Mt. Morungole where you will start your hike to the summit to meet with the IK people. Mt. Morungole is 2750m high, and offers moderate hike and once you get to the top, meet the IK. The Ik people also most popular as Teuso, are among the tribal/ethnic group living in
Northeastern Uganda. It is one peaceful group, with about 13000 of them living in Uganda. Most popular as the Mountain People, the IK live on top of Mt. Morungole and today, you will have a deep insight about their unique traditions, cultures, hunter- gatherer practices, spiritual beliefs, and more. You will start descending from Mount Morungole summits, and transfer to the lodge for relaxation. With an experienced guide, depart the lodge for a long day game drive through Kidepo savanna plains. Kidepo is a spectacular wilderness area, offering truly authentic African experiences and wildlife encounters. The expected animal sightings to enjoy include African bush elephants, caracals, zebras, lions, giraffes, cape buffaloes, antelopes, and leopards plus birds. Wake up early morning, have breakfast and later, you will be led to Karamojong
community/village also most popular as Manyatta. Today, you will a long day with
Karamojong –traditional pastoralists and you will learn about their traditions, cultures,
and practices and also don’t forget to witness the naming festival of animals and
humans.

Apoka Safari Lodge (Luxury) - Day 10 - Kidepo road trip to Murchison Falls National Park via Kitgum-Gulu highway
Leave Kidepo for Murchison Falls National Park which spans in the 4 districts in
Northwestern Uganda: Nwoya, Kiryandongo, Buliisa, and Masindi. Murchison Falls
NP is Uganda’s biggest park, spanning over 3840sq.km and holds over 76 mammal
species, 451 species of birds, floral species and others. En-route to Murchison
National Park, branch off to Aruu Fall, one of the spectacular waterfalls in Northern
Uganda, settle for lunch and later continue to Murchison Falls N/P.

Bakers Lodge/Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury) - Day 11 - Murchison Falls –Game drive and mini hike at top of the falls.
Embark on early morning game drive starting at 6:00am. Drive through the scenic
northern game track, spending between 2 and 3 hours while spotting animals such
as waterbucks, African bush elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, hartebeest, oribis,
Uganda kobs and bird species. In the afternoon, you will enjoy hike to the top of the
falls, and while at the top, have good time taking photos, watch the waterfalls while it
forces itself in a narrow rock of 8m.

Bakers Lodge/Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury) - Day 12 - Morning delta cruise in the Nile. Afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
Start the day with breakfast and set off for morning Nile Delta boat cruise. You will be
watching hippos, crocodiles, and scenic view of the Nile. Get back, have lunch and
you will have an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Aquatic species
such as hippos, crocodiles and water birds will be spotted in huge numbers, and at
the base of the falls, you will take pictures of the falls.

Depart from the Northern circuit for the Southern Province to explore Budongo
Forest. At Budongo, you will enjoy a guided nature walk through the Royal Mile, rich
birding spot to spot birds such as brown chested alethe, Nahan’s francolin, white
spotted greenbul, blue breasted kingfishers, rufous sided broadbill, chocolate backed
kingfishers, fire-crested alethe, African dwarf kingfishers,
In the evening, you will be visiting the Polish Church in Nyabyeya located near
Masindi. Explore the unique history behind the Polish Catholic Church. It is in this
area where hundreds of the Polish people died of jiggers, sickness, and hunger
during the World War II. The church was built by the Polish refugees next to Masindi
town in the 1940s.

Country Inn/Masindi Hotel/Kabalega Resort - Day 14 - Transfer to Kampala via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel and proceed to Ziwa Rhino
Sanctuary for rhino tracking. This is the only place where you will find rhinos in their
natural habitat while in Uganda. After, the 2 hours trekking with rhinos, get back and
you will be driven back to Entebbe for departure or remain in the hotel in Entebbe
city. End of safari
