Go for Mountain Gorilla trekking in the misty mountains. Get a bonus by spending the 2nd night on an Island in the Middle of the second deepest Lake in Africa (Lake Bunyonyi). You will experience the highlight of meeting the Mountain Gorillas of Uganda in their misty mountainous home of Bwindi impenetrable national park. During your Mountain Gorilla trekking you will walk through the beautiful jungle and spend one hour with the gorillas of the misty mountains. After the trek you leave the impenetrable forest to spend the second night in the middle of Lake Bunyonyi a better place to chill after a long day in the forest with Mountain Gorillas.
This kind of safari will give you that ultimate safari moment with the world's endangered Mountain Gorillas. Giving you a chance to spend a full hour with the gentle giants watching them as they feed, move rest, groom among other interesting things. You will again realize the many similarities with us the humans. After a day in the impenetrable forest, we shall then chill in the middle of Africa's second deepest lake on which we shall conduct a boat cruise to explore the many islands, bird species, learn about culture among other things.
- Day 1 - Transfer to the Impenetrable forest of Bwindi national aprk
Meet our company representative who will as well be your driver guide and start off early from Entebbe/Kampala for your Mountain gorilla trekking adventure. (arrive to Entebbe early in the morning or add an extra night to arrive the day before). Be prepared for a long day in the car. Along the way you will make a stop by the equator for some photos and have lunch in Mbarara depending on the time. Continue on to Bwindi Mountain Gorillas through the neck of the impenetrable forest. Overnight at Gorilla Mist Camp / Broadbill forest camp / Buhoma community rest camp or Bakiga Lodge
- Day 2 - Mountain Gorilla Trekking day.
With an early breakfast set off for your Mountain gorilla trekking adventure with a specialized guide. Besides the mountain gorillas, this Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and duikers. Enjoy the walk through the forest and spend one hour around the gorillas. This is indeed an ultimate encounter that you may never have again in your safari life. Afterwards, we go to spend the second night in the middle of Lake Bunyonyi at Kyahugye island. Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort
- Day 3 - Boat Cruise on Lake Bunyonyi - Transfer to Kampala / Entebbe
Breakfast at leisure and have a cool breeze taking boat ride on the second African deepest lake looking for birds and many islands. The island is part of the ancient cultural life and you will be able to learn more. Head towards Kampala / Entebbe and have a lunch break along the Equator line.
