Overview
Our 4-day journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the western region of Uganda takes you to a conservation area established in 1994 with the primary aim of safeguarding the critically endangered mountain gorillas. This national park is divided into four distinct sections, each home to a number of habituated gorilla families coexisting with various other forest inhabitants. These gorilla families typically comprise up to 20 members, led by a dominant male known as a silverback.
During this excursion, we will also explore Uganda's deepest lake, Lake Bunyonyi, where you can enjoy a scenic boat cruise while admiring the breathtaking Kigezi highlands. This picturesque lake, characterized by its numerous islets, is believed to have formed as a result of volcanic activity.
Our 4 Days Bwindi Impenetrable national park will take you to the western part of Uganda, the conservation area was gazette in 1994 as a way of protecting the critically endangered species of the mountain gorillas, it is bisected into four parts each of which boasts a number of habituated gorilla families they live in the forest together with other forest creatures, the gorilla families consist up to 20 members led by a male silverback, on this trip we will visit Uganda’s deepest Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise while overlooking the Kigezi highlands the beautiful dotted lake is amazing to view it is said to have been formed as a result of volcanicity
- Day 1 - Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our company representative who will meet greet and transfer you to the hotel in Entebbe that has been booked, depending on the time you arrive there will be time to do a mini tour in Entebbe visiting the Victoria Mall for shopping on a few personal items you may need, returning for dinner and staying overnight at
- Day 2 - Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Morning breakfast our driver guide will transfer you to the home of Mountain gorillas, it takes approximately +/- 9 hours’ drive to arrive passing through angelic small towns and Villages stop over for lunch at the Igongo cultural center and a short break later which we proceed to the national park, the unending winding hills covered in banana and tea plantations are wonderful arriving in time for check-in at the lodge as you enjoy the cool environment dinner and staying overnight at
- Day 3 - Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
On this day you will be transferred to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking, a briefing will be conducted basically about the forest together with its creatures from the park rangers as our guide assists in the registration process, in groups of 8 you will be allocated a gorilla family, trackers will lead you through the forest in search of gorillas, these keep feeding from one place to another they solemnly feed at the same place in order to allow the food regrow, they are led by a male silverback and are territorial in nature, herbivorous feeding on forest plants, mushrooms and fruits an hour is allowed to interact with the primates returning to the lodge for a brunch or hot lunch and then we proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening boat cruise along the Lake, expect to see a couple of antelopes including zebras and domestic donkeys returning to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at
- Day 4 - Departure
We will have a morning breakfast after which we will checkout of the lodge and transfer to Entebbe for our outbound flight the drive takes approximately +/-7 hours’ drive as we say goodbye to the country that has been home for some days.
