Overview
This 6-day Uganda Primate Trekking Safari ushers you into the Kibale Forest National Park protecting moist evergreen rain forest was also known as “the primate capital of the world”, for trekking wild but habituated chimpanzees as well as Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park, home to more than half the population of the World’s remaining Mountain Gorillas.
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

- Day 1 - Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Have breakfast early morning and today, you will be heading to Kibale Forest National Park the prime destination to connect up to Kibale, it will take you about 5-6 hours from Kampala via Fort Portal City-have en-route lunch at Fort Portal. You will check into the lodge at Kibale afterward for the rest of the evening relaxation and night stay.

- Day 2 - Chimpanzee tracking, nature walk
Enjoy early morning breakfast, and after, transfer to Kanyanchu for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking rules and regulations. The park office will also put you in different groups each constituting 6 pax, and later, be led by a park guide for actual chimpanzee tracking experiences expected to take 2-4 hours. This includes 1 hour every visitor must spend face-to-face with the chimpanzee community. What makes the chimp trek in Kibale exceptional is that you also get exposed to a diversity of other primates, forest birds, plants, and butterflies.
Retreat after an incredible moment with chimps in the wild, have lunch at leisure, and afternoon is had to explore Bigodi Sanctuary home to diverse birds including Great Blue Turacos plus lots of primates. Your guided nature walk experience will mainly get you exposed to the sanctuary’s distinct species of primates and birds.Accommodation: Turacco treetops
- Day 3 - Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Day three of your 6 Uganda Primate Trekking Safari includes a short visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park as you head to Bwindi national park. You will have access to Queen Elizabeth via Fort Portal city, a 3-4 hours' drive, arrive early for lunch then followed by a game drive to see bush elephants, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, and birds. After, transfer to Buhoma in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park 3-4hrs via Ishasha for tree climbing lion sightings.

- Day 4 - Gorilla trekking adventure Bwindi National Park, Batwa
On this day of Uganda Primate Trekking Safari, start with breakfast, and meet up with your guide. Transfer to Buhoma for orientation about gorilla trekking regulations that starts from 7:00 am to 8:00 am when the actual trek commences. While on a trek to see gorillas, feel free with your guide, ask as many questions as you can and upon finding gorillas, have in-depth experience about their daily behaviors.
After your 2-6 hours gorilla search and 1-hour magical encounter, walk back for relaxation. Later in the afternoon, a short cultural walk to the Batwa community for authentic African cultural experiences.

- Day 5 - Day 5: Wildlife tour to Lake Mburo National park
Have breakfast early, and after, transfer to Lake Mburo National park the only park that offers horseback rides. On 5 hour drive to Lake Mburo NP in Mbarara, expect delicious cultural cuisine during lunchtime. After, head off for an afternoon boat cruise.

- Day 6 - Game viewing, depart Lake Mburo
After having a cup of tea or coffee, leave for a horseback riding or game drive in Lake Mburo N/Park. Exit Lake Mburo National Park via Masaka with a stop visit at the Equator for taking pictures, lunch at Masaka then drop off to Kampala or Entebbe.
