Overview

Get to know Punta del Este, also called the Pearl of the Atlantic. The walk begins on the Rambla de Montevideo, the Interbalnearia route until we reach Piriápolis, where we will make our first stop to enjoy the beautiful view of Cerro San Antonio. Then we will continue to Punta del Este where we will arrive at Punta Ballena, the area where Casa Pueblo is located. Then we will visit the residential neighborhoods of Punta del Este, Mansa and Brava beaches, El Puerto, Gorlero street, etc. We have free time for lunch or enjoying the beautiful beaches.

  • Day 1 - City Tour Punta del Este

    Cerro San Antonio
    Stop: 15 minutes
    On Cerro San Antonio is the temple of San Antonio, whose terracotta image was brought from Milan, Italy, and a small inn with a swimming pool. Also from there you have a perspective of the area; to the west you can see the bay and the port with the center of the city of Piriápolis and the mountains on the horizon; to the north you can see the Cerro del Toro, the Pan de Azúcar and other smaller hills, and to the east you can see the rocky entrance that makes up the Punta Colorada with its residences. In turn, you can find shops selling handicrafts and souvenirs, a parador, and an antenna, which is viewed from every point that the hill can be seen.

    Museo – Taller de Casapueblo
    Stop: 30 minutes - Admission excluded
    Casapueblo is a building built by the Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró located in Punta Ballena, 13 km from Punta del Este, Uruguay. Initially, it was the artist's summer home and studio, and includes a museum, an art gallery, a cafeteria and a hotel.

    We will stop at Punta de la Ballena to appreciate one of the best views of Maldonado.

    Puerto de Punta del Este
    Stop: 15 minutes
    The Port of Punta del Este also known as Puerto Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, is an international marina located in Punta del Este. The Port has a total of 490 moorings and a space on land for approximately 350 vessels. Small fishing boats also dock in the port that provide merchandise to the fishmongers that select the fish in front of the tourist and attract the presence of sea lions, who go up to the dock and enjoy fresh fish. Its port bay is 28 ha 1,000 m² and its breakwater measures 430 m. long.2

    Stop: 2 hours
    Gorlero Avenue is the main Avenue in Punta del Este where the main shops with exclusive brands and several places to have lunch are located. We will have two hours to walk the avenue and have lunch.

    Stop: 15 minutes
    Visit to the emblematic sculpture in Playa Brava.
