Keeping families together - use your skills to support a community centre near Siem Reap in Cambodia

Volunteers on this program will work with Treak Community Centre in Cambodia. Treak focuses support for children and families, providing education and training and encouraging a culture of opportunity not dependency. Treak is a typical, rural Cambodian village, where most people are subsistence farmers or fishermen and few houses have mains water, electricity or a piped sewage system. However it is only 4 km from the tourist hotspot of Siem Reap, so there are plenty of opportunities for employment in tourism for those with the right skills.

All volunteers will have a tailor-made placement outline created for them to match their skills, interests and experience to local needs, enabling them to make a real difference in the work they do. Whether your skills are in education, childcare, social work, healthcare, small business and entrepreneurship or practical skills, we can match you with someone at Treak to create a genuine and worthwhile skills-sharing placement for you.
