The Turtles and Sloths program extends a warm invitation to international volunteers who have a genuine affinity for collaborating with sea turtles, sloths, and various wildlife species in quaint coastal communities. Important Information
General Tasks & Main Responsibilities
Nursery surveillance. - The nursery is an area where turtle eggs are incubated for more than a month and a half until they come to the surface, these nests are cared for 24 hours a day.
Beach patrol. - To collect the turtle eggs that will be sown later in the nursery, shifts along the beach for 4 hours at night, to locate the nesting turtles, collect their eggs, and take them to the nursery.
Cleaning the beach and Recycling. - Volunteers will pick up garbage along the beach and place it in special garbage containers.
Working with sloths. - Volunteers will look for and help with sloths. Depending on season.
Helping the community. - Volunteers will work in different projects at the community. Volunteers can also help with other activities like English teaching to adults, and other.
