Overview
This program supports a grassroots development organisation working with local communities on conservation and development projects. The project combines scientific research with community conservation, helping to mitigate the effects of the local mining industry. Research work focuses on biodiversity, aiming to improve local habitat for the lemur and flying fox.
Volunteers on this program play and important hand-on role in research and conservation and is an opportunity to gain an insight into real grassroots conservation and development.
