Overview
The Wildlife Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Release volunteer project offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of experts committed to giving sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife a second chance. As a volunteer, you'll assist with the daily feeding and care of these animals, nurturing them until they are ready to be released back into their natural environment. This is a deeply fulfilling experience, knowing your efforts contribute to their eventual freedom and safety. It's also an ideal project for animal physiotherapy or veterinary medicine students and professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in wildlife care, as you may have the chance to work closely with the clinic manager and staff in the onsite clinic.
Every year the project assists over 3000 injured, orphaned and displaced animals. From mongoose, genets, primates, raptors, a large variety of garden and water birds, reptiles, antelope, porcupine and other small to medium mammals. This project represents a second chance at a free, safe and sustainable life for all wild animals in distress.
