Overview
In Tanzania, children in underfunded schools and daycares need support. The Childcare project welcomes volunteers to provide care, love, and help improve institutions. Options include schools, daycares, and orphanages. Some children attend daycares while single parents work, ensuring a safe and educational environment.
This program prepares children for their academic journey, teaches healthy habits, and enhances their learning and behavior. Activities include basic education, games, and center improvements. There's a $50 fee for center development.
Expect to work with younger age groups in diverse conditions, requiring flexibility and proactive involvement. Trust must be earned, and tasks can be adapted based on comfort levels.
Duties involve teaching, playing, caring for children, and assisting with education and hygiene. Challenges include cultural differences, living conditions, and transportation, while positives include gaining new skills and experiencing Tanzania's beauty.
