Overview

Volunteers with compassionate hearts and open minds are needed for the Empowering Women and Girls program in Tanzania. This initiative supports individuals who have faced heart-wrenching challenges, from HIV stigma to assault-related abandonment and extreme poverty.

The program's goals include fostering self-sufficiency among women and girls and expanding its reach. Opportunities encompass community work, counseling for HIV and assault survivors, palliative care, and youth programs, including health education and a sanitary pad project.

Tasks depend on volunteer comfort levels, and substitutions are acceptable. A $100 fee directly aids center development.

Expect diverse conditions and approaches, so it's best to approach the project with an open mind and proactive spirit. Trust must be earned, and dedication is vital, as there are both busy and slow days.
