Overview
Discover hidden channels between many of the islands of the Zambezi River, above the Victoria Falls. In inflatable 2 seat canoes, equipped with a kayak paddle, enjoy a leisurely cruise, following your qualified guide, in search of abundant wildlife!
- Day 1 - Kazungula to Katombora Island
Pick up at 8,30 am, drive to the starting point at Kazungula. Briefing, paddling down from Kazungula via the Katombora Rapids to Katombora Island. Overnight on a beautiful sandy beach on the island.
- Day 2 - Canoeing from Katombora Island to Bovu Island
Packing of the camp after breakfast. Canoeing from Katombora Island to Bovu Island where we will stop for lunch. The “Upper Zambezi” is rich in African flora and fauna and invites you to explore its palm tree islands and beautiful river banks. The Zambezi N.P. in Zimbabwe borders the river: hippos, elephants and antelopes are often seen on the banks of the river. Paddling past the ‘Siankaba rapids’ and further downstream, set up camp on one of the campsites next to the river (Camp Nkwazi or Kubu Cabins). Dinner on the campsite
- Day 3 - Paddling up to Livingstone
After breakfast we carry on paddling up to Livingstone, we will have lunch on one of the beautiful islands on our way down the river. Take out at Karims Farm in the afternoon.
- Pick up and transfer from and to your accommodation within Livingstone.
