The Golden Triangle tour is truly an experience of a lifetime. No matter how many pictures you have seen, nothing can quite compare to your first glimpse of the majestic Taj Mahal. The Pink City of Jaipur dazzles visitors with palaces and forts and Delhi offers amazing historical monuments hidden throughout a modern city. A Golden Triangle tour is the most convenient way to experience the famed Golden Triangle and offers the perfect introduction to India.
In eight days you will visit India’s most essential destinations including Agra’s Taj Mahal, Jaipur’s Amber Fort and Delhi’s cornucopia of fascinating sights. A journey with Reality Tours is much more than traditional sightseeing.
- Day 1 - Arrive in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and check into the hotel. There are no activities this day, so enjoy exploring the city on your own. In the evening, your guide will come to greet you and the rest of the group in the hotel lobby. Over a welcome dinner, the guide will go over the itinerary for the next 8 action-packed days!
- Day 2 - Sightseeing tour
On your second morning, we will travel together to the Sanjay Colony where you will have a walking tour of the community and get to know more about the working and home lives of its residents. The tour ends in the early afternoon and we will have the rest of the day to do some sightseeing and visit India Gate, Qutub Minar, and Humayan’s tomb .
- Day 3 - Arrive in Jaipur
We’ll arrive in Jaipur by train in the afternoon and check in to our hotel.
Jaipur is also known as the Pink City of India and you will soon notice this as almost every building within the historic centre is made and painted of pink terracotta colour.
In the evening there will be an orientation walk with your guide, and then time to relax and have dinner.
- Day 4 - Jaipur Tour
On day 4 we will visit the stunning Amber Fort. Built in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh, this red sandstone building looks as majestic as it is fascinating. Once back in the heart of the city wee will also admire the beauty of the Hawa Mahal, one of the most famous palaces in Jaipur.
- Day 5 - Arrive in Agra
Upon arrival in Agra we will check in the homestay where we will spend the night. Day to spend at your leisure or visiting other sights nearby. In the afternoon we will visit the Agra Fort and then the Taj Mahal at sunset, when you will be able to take some photos of this iconic building and enjoy the surroundings.
- Day 6 - Arrive in Mathura
Travel by train to Mathura, departing Agra in the morning. We spend the day visiting a couple of the estimated 5000 temples and enjoying the atmosphere of this less visited city. In the evening we will witness the aarti ceremony at Vishram Ghat on the Yamuna River and have dinner with a local host family.
- Day 7 - Return Back to Delhi
Travelling by car or minibus to return to Delhi. On the way, we will stop at Mathura for a lovely boat ride on Yamuna River.
